QUALITY

CEC Bearings never compromises on quality.

Using only high quality materials (steel, lubricants, etc.) and high precision machinery, we adhere to a very high standard in the production of our bearings.

During production, we perform quality assurance checks for several parameters that are crucial for bearings performance such as hardness, dimensional tolerance, radial & axial clearance, noise and vibration.

CEC Bearings is discriminating in its choice of production materials:

STEEL

We use Chrome Steel – SAE 52100 in our production. After several heat treatment processes, we can reach the desired levels of hardness. SAE 52100 is an excellent general purpose bearing steel. Due to its excellent hardness and wear resistance, it exhibits good fatigue life in rolling element bearings.

LUBRICANTS

Grease is a major factor affecting bearings quality and durability. We use Mobil Polyrex™ EM, one of the highest quality greases that are specially formulated for electric-motor bearings. This kind of grease allows bearings to work at higher speeds and higher temperatures and it provides protection against rust and corrosion. It also significantly decreases noise.

SHIELDS

The process of shielding is very important in protecting bearings from the elements, particularly water and dust. It is also used to keep grease inside the bearings, keeping them clean and effective. This is why we use very strong and high quality rubber and steel shields to guarantee the performance of our bearings.

CORROSION TREATMENT

Because corrosion resistance of chrome steel is poor due to the low chromium content, the surfaces of the bearings must be protected with a coating of rust inhibitor, or oil, to stop oxidation. For this, we use VpCI®-329, the latest in corrosion inhibitors that guarantees the highest protection for bearings working under different conditions, both before and after usage.

PACKAGING

We individually wrap and package our bearings using special plastics and machinery that perfectly seals bearings in a bag and in single boxes. This quality of packaging ensures protection against weather and humidity fluctuations that invariably occur during any type of transport.
